Will the real YOU please stand up!!  Jack and Carol put together some information about their heritage, salvation, children, careers and ministry so you could get to know them a little better!

Jack and Carol were both raised in South Dakota.  Jack was the son of Paul and Ruth Garr and lived on a cattle ranch near Isabel, SD.  Carol was the daughter of Dewey and LaVonne Dahl and lived on a sheep ranch near Glad Valley, SD.  As the old saying goes - no cattle owner should date a sheep herders daughter, but - oh, well - they did just that!

Jack and Carol met in Isabel during high school. They were each others first date!  They married August 20, 1979. That makes almost 30 years now!

Then along came their son Brian Joe Ray Garr, looking just like his dad!  Then, 2 1/2 years later a daughter joined the family, LaCosta Alice Ann (Garr) Isaacs, looking like mom! They lived on the Garr family ranch for almost 2 years, then moved to Grandview, TX where they have lived for the past 25 years.

The Lord has blessed Jack as a home building contractor, not to say there wasn't some trying times! Jack received his salvation as a young boy and Carol received hers at 21 years of age. Carol was able to stay home with the kids, work music on the side and eventually get her real estate license. Meanwhile, (back at the farm), Jack  coached the kids through sporting events and rodeo.

Since then, the Lord has seen  them through many things together.  There has been death of loved ones, salvation of loved ones, starting out with "nothing", raising a rodeo family, horse training,  high school and college with their kids, family trips,T-ball, soccer, baseball,  basketball, taking care of each other and their marriage, song writing, goal setting, going after a rodeo championship, the marriage of their daughter (to Christopher Isaacs),  the call of ministry, helping to start six cowboy churches, music minister and choir leader for three Churches, running a successful business of building homes, six years of road ministry . . .  and all the while . . . seeking the Lord for His guidance and plan for their lives.

Their only concern is to do God's will and to serve Him to the best of their capability. Let them bring in wisdom they have learned from the past, looking forward to the future, but - LIVING FOR TODAY!
