RODEO MINISTRY

 Rodeo Ministry

Don't be surprised if see Jack and Carol at your next rodeo!  Jack is a Professional Rodeo Cowboys  Association  member and competes in the calf roping event!  Their son, Brian, is rodeoing full time competing in the PRCA in calf roping and steer wrestling.  Through the rodeo world, the Lord has opened up many doors for them to minister to the cowboys and western cultured people.

Some of the outreaches they do include rodeo church services. Many times they will hold a service for the rodeo contestants, stock contractors and the townspeople when there is a rodeo scheduled for that day. Because of their western culture and Jack's 2002 National Senior Professional Association World Titles in Calf Roping and Ribbon Roping, they have the respect of the local cowboys and are able to minister to everyone of all ages. The main focus of these services is salvation and time to pray with the people.

They have been a part of some very successful "He Paid Your Fee's" events held in the upper mid-western states.  During the summer months, they have held calf roping, team roping and barrel racing competitions with sponsored money and prizes available to the participants.  The only "entry fee" is to attend the church service held before the event.  This past summer they held a barrel racing at Larry and Frieda Fossums Ranch in Hartford, South Dakota.  Over 300 people attended the church service. There was an astounding  97 salvation's and re-dedications. They know this kind of ministry is very effective for further God's Kingdom and hope to continue this work!

Another outreach that Jack and Carol have done is Christian Street Concerts.  This has been effective for all ages and families.  Usually they are a part of a western celebration like a state fair, county fair or a town or church "western days" celebration.

Jack and Carol have been blessed to help with many Rodeo Camps.  These are usually a 2 or 3 day events for children and youth.  It helps the young horse person to develop their horsemanship as well as some rodeo events.

The main emphasis is on the church services held in the mornings and again that night, concentrating on their salvation and spiritual walk.

Jack and Carol love to see the kids improve with their horses, but are most pleased with their spiritual development during these camps!

Weather they do these service horseback or on foot ( or boot),with music or with the Word, they would like the opportunity to minister at your next western cultured function.  Their down to earth personalities and humor will please the listeners and bring a "realness" to your rodeo, camps, celebrations and church services and other meetings!
